Question:
George I give you alot of credit. Please don’t assume that the quote I wrote was in any way directed at you. It didn’t even cross my mind. And I’m sorry if I offended you at all. It was truly something Ozzy said when asked about AA/NA meetings. I give you loads of credit man, I don’t know if I could be in your situation and have the same perspective on life as you do.

OZZY RULZ!!
Response:
Thank you Gia. I was in no way offended. I was only explaining the way it is, R/L. Again, Thank you.

"If I lost my leg, would I go sit with a group of other amputees day after day and whine about my leg?" (Ozzy Osbourne on the subject of AA/NA) For me, I don’t want to sit around day after day with a bunch of people in wheelchairs whining about my problems. Get out and experience life to the fullest of your ability. Don’t get me wrong, some people do need counseling for a verity of serious problems that require counseling. Some people are not blessed with a good family support network or may suffer from an overwhelming illness or disability. Damn it! I ain’t dead. I live in a stable environment. I handle my funds well. I can go out. I don’t have allot of friends, but it’s quality that counts and not quantity. I have an attendant that arrives each morning to get me out of bed, helps me shower, dress, goes grocery shopping, laundry and physical therapy. This service is 7 days a week. I would be in a stinking nursing home if I didn’t have this help, where I would be abused, neglected and left for dead. Make someone happy. Live! Live! Live! Peace, George

It’s bad enough you’re in denial. To lie to this group is another thing. You are so H-E-L-P-L-E-S-S. I know you can’t stop cold turkey like George asked. But, you damn sure can wean yourself off the s**t with or without help. You just don’t have the power within to do so. You like that drugged feeling. You don’t like being straight. Reality sucks for you.

Besides the point that this is NONE of your business. I’ve quit Heroin many times cold turkey. And in no way am I in denial or ashamed of my addiction. Otherwise I would not have posted it on a public forum many times over. I would not change one thing about my life past or present. You seem to have a bigger problem with it than I do. It’s that obsessive behavior of yours. Just like this thread you started here that no one except yourself 4 or 5 times has replied to. After 4 rehabs and one long term one many years ago, I really don’t think I need you to post the 12 steps of recovery. AA and NA is bullshit anyway. Gia, Since you can’t seem to read thoroughly and completely, let’s try this, again. In all reality, you have gone from being a heroin junkie to a narcotic addict. Being in recovery for over three years still taking Methadone is just another drug problem. What f**king quack would let you take Methadone for over three years. As most anyone knows, an addiction in itself is the consequence of problems that stem from psychological, emotional and/or physical issues. Just like any other addiction such as over-eating, gambling, alcoholism, etc. It is apparent you still suffer from deep seated issues. Otherwise, you would not still be in recovery, but you would be a "recovered junkie". What you need is some serious one-on-one therapy. If you are getting that now, it isn’t working. You really are f**ked up. You put up a good front sometimes, but few and far between. http://www.methadone.org
