Oh, I agree that it’s merely a matter of definitions. But if the gov’t says that heavy metal music is loud music with electric guitars performed by American musicians, then Iron Maiden would not count as true heavy metal (according to their standards) since they’re not American musicians. If they say heavy metal is played by musicians from England, America and Australia, but leave out Germany, then Helloween (according to that definition) is not heavy metal. But his lie was far more important than Clinton’s lie since it played into the hands of Cochran & co., made the police department look like racist evidence planters (especially so soon after the big Rodney King Fiasco!) and possibly allowed a guilty man go free. Well, that’s fine, but it’s not the indiscretion he’s in trouble for. It’s lying about it under oath. Anyone here would be thrown in jail for the same thing, yet not him? Ozzy wouldn’t have lied about it, so that would have been fine.
