I remember going to a concert during the Hemispheres tour. Alex was singing backup. Those were the days! ron

Geddy’s record is great, period… just ask Matt Cameron. His vocals have always been annoying… get over it…

Oh you’re not alone by any stretch. anyone check out the new CD yet? Geddy’s playing is very nice, lots of chordal stuff. No synth’s, no solo’s. Different. m

Yeah, got it and have had half a listen to it. Hasn’t grabbed me yet, but none of them ever do until after several listens. I’m becoming increasingly annoyed by Geddy’s voice, and the silly processing they’re doing on it throughout the album makes it even more annoying. I wish Liefson would play guitar again rather than a 6string synth. Neil’s playing is good and interesting. Haven’t scritinized the bass yet. No one made the mistake of buying Geddy’s solo album like I did, did they? Let’s just say that it’s good that Neil writes lyrics for Rush. — /" ASCII Ribbon Campaign | Todd H / | http://www.toddh.net/ X Promoting good netiquette | http://triplethreatband.com/ / http://www.toddh.net/netiquette/ | "4 lines suffice."

I’ve listened through it once so far. > I’m becoming increasingly annoyed by Geddy’s voice, and the silly > processing they’re doing on it throughout the album makes it even more > annoying.
I know exactly what you mean. There’s just something about his voice on this album that’s *way* more annoying than it used to be. > I wish Liefson would play guitar again rather than a 6string synth. > Neil’s playing is good and interesting. Haven’t scritinized the bass > yet.
My first impressions are that the instrumental parts of the album are very good. > No one made the mistake of buying Geddy’s solo album like I did, did > they?
I didn’t buy it. But I got it as a Christmas present. > Let’s just say that it’s good that Neil writes lyrics for > Rush.
Like I said… I’ve only listened to the whole of Vapor Trails once, but the lyrics didn’t seem that great. Maybe that’s one reason Geddy’s voice sounds so annoying… he hasn’t got much interesting to say. Eric

I’d rather listen to it than the radio… they’re making a big stink about the mastering quality on Alt.Music.Rush.
