Rock and Roll, Led Zeppelin. Nowadays I really hate Zeppelin. — "If you get all your information from local TV news, you end up knowing less than if you just stayed home on the couch and drank gin from the bottle."–Garrison Keillor PS–email addressed is hacked as spam-shield; cut the x to reply

I got sick of Zeppelin mainly due to the local radio station playing the damn songs to death. I tuned out the classic radio stations and can now look back and see what a great band they were. I honestly can’t think of any modern band that is as versatile as them (and demonstrates it on album). There is virtually no band in the 90’s that has their longevity. Much of this has to do with the modern music biz. The large record companies are not interested in bands that produce "music" and not hits. Can you imagine a record company today that would not release a song such as "Stairway to Heaven" as a single? Never. 8^) Dave

The day that song was first played on MTV, I recorded the video. After about 3 listens a friend and I had the whole song figured out. Later the same day we were in a music store playing it and someone asked, "Hey what’s that song?". "The new Metallica song. Haven’t you heard it yet?" We thought it was amusing. Cool song though. -Brian
