Yup. The best gags along these lines have a certain believabilty factor. Novoselic’s joining Metallica? Could happen. The "Garage Days…" title is suitably arty, so OK. Covering "Teen Spirit"? Well….but the "My Way" broke the spell.    The One True Robb

Well Metalica isn’t cool enough  to do a Frank song, or they are too cool, not sure which one. Noveselic would not join a band like that, they are the type of band Nirvana used to poke fun at, the corporate rockers. I saw Metalica in a club in 1984 with Cliff Burton on bass, it was the total shit, but that was a long time ago and since then they have sadly become a parody of themselves. No, couldn’t happen.  Krist wouldn’t abandon Yva Las Vegas and the Sweet 75 kids. Brian

Response:

what is really said in the present metallica this does almost seem likely. After all they have abandoned real fast heavy/hard metal for more nirvania type pop metal.

Good one.   Interestingly, about a month ago, Dave Grohl appeared on The Dennis Miller Show (HBO) and really slammed Metallica for their role in the Napster saga. I believe he indirectly said to them, "F**k You!" — Steve (Reply address has been changed to protect the innocent)

I disagree. Nirvana wasn’t metal. They were punk influenced, hard rock, major difference. Metalica sounded more like Nirvana in the early 80’s in the sense they were a refreshing alternativeto the poser-hair-band pussy metal. Now they tryto make albums that sell, before they didn’t. Stu
