I live outside of Philly too and agree, the "mandatory metallicunt" is a waste of good airtime…….due to the reputation(?) these guys have, people are scared to say they suck even if they really think they do….their other friends, who also think they suck, might think they are uncool.. Metallicunt have attained a status shared with bands like U2 and the Stones etc., no matter what they come out with and how bad it might be people feel obligated to say how great it is or marvel at their "new direction" etc.

Man, that is just so queer. Everyone I know around here seems to love them too, I am so sick of it !! I mean, you’d be sick of ANY band if you got them shoved down your throat every day. Before you reply "you can change the station, you know", most of the other stations play them to death too, but I’m citing the worst offender here as the example. They did the same thing to The Who, Pink Floyd, and Led Zepplin as well. I don’t care if I never hear another song from any of them again frankly. There are lots of good bands who need airplay, can’t we expand our horizons a little? Nope, we’re slaves to the bastard record companies who dictate what the radio stations will play- all the while ripping off the artist and pocketing 90% of the profits.
