Question:
Ok JP who would’ve thought I need your help. Since your a complete yeti and prolly have a beard that’s 10 meters long like that guy who sells furniture(IDOMO) i need your advice. I"m trying to grow a goatee, now i have no problem with the lower part of it, since it doesn’t bother me at all. But what do i do with the moustache and stuff? It’s kinda long and unruly(my goatee is like a month and a week long)..and it’s really bothersome. How do you deal with this or do you just let it grow , do you trim it, shave it ocasionally or what’s up.. — / / .—–. I am not sure what you mean by "bothersome". Give me some more info about what bothers you and perhaps I can advise. In the mean time, here is some info about me. A few years ago, I looked a lot like John Hartford on this album cover. http://www.johnhartford.com/discog/c-aereo.htm My beard is longer than that now, and grayer. I cut my mustache at the lip line about once a week so I don’t strain my soup through it. I whack 3 inches off the beard every 6 months when it starts getting in my motorcycle jacket zipper. I get the hair on my head cut short (1950s style) every March, for summer. By the next winter it is long enough to keep me warm. You may be able to tell, from all this that I am not much into vanity. Hair grows, so I use it. The facial hair gets a lot less scratchy about a month after it is cut, since the hair ends wear to a taper and get soft. You can speed this up by rubbing the hair with a pumice stone while it is short. Then every time I trim it, it is a little scratchy again for a while. This is especially annoying on my neck where the sharp ends get pointed against me. So I like to keep it long enough to hang down past my collar. My morning routine is about 10 seconds to comb my hair and unbend and fluff out my beard if I slept on it wrong. I will never go back to shaving. — John Popelish

I forgot to tell you one other technique. I use my toothbrush to brush my wet mustache down over my lip for trimming. Then after a cut, I brush it down again, to find any long ones that got away and whack them, also. Does a nice neat job. If I try to trim it without brushing it first, there are always a few hairs that are going the wrong way, and end up hanging in my mouth after I am done. — John Popelish

Well i trimmed it with my Philis shaver trimmer. My mother says it makes all the difference.. — / / .—–.
