Question:

i just picked up a copy of metallica’s garage inc.  i dont dig the new covers, but i like the old ones.  i listened to their version of holocaust’s "small hours"  and it had a KILLER, HUGE, CHUNKY palm-mute death crunch thing from hell goin on.  my question, how did he get that sound in 1987?  sounds more like a pittbull, or 5150 than a jcm-800 or his markIIC+.
