I got my Wired magazine yesterday and as I was reading today I saw a GAP ad that had this girl with a CBR in her lip. Um..it’s kinda cool that bodmod is getting shown like that, but her lip was the whole focus of the advertisement. I always thought GAP sold clothes 
I don’t like the idea of using bodmods for their shockvalue. I don’t know if any of you feel the same way, but I’d rather bodyart stay out of advertising if it is working to make freaks of us… Oh.. I just found another On the very back cover is an ad for Lycos. The picture is of a stomach(I think it’s female) that has this big tattoo. There’s a banner that says LYCOS.COM in a fancy script, then there’s a pillar of flame and cherubs on either side blowing horns. On the facing page there is a write up about some person’s quest for the perfect tattoo(presumably they used lycos and this is what they got. Obviously, the tat isn’t real. I’m not offended by this ad at all. I guess, because of the accomanying text. That, and Lycos isn’t some trendy company trying to attract all the trendy alternateens and such. and so on.. borys

Well I was watching some new sitcom on FOX, it came on after married with children I think and had the word married in it. Anyways one of the main chacaters was a girl with her eybrow, nose and lip pierced with some funky colored hair…they pretty made her out to be a crazy sarcastic bitchy freak…geez cant people with piercings have normal parts in shows, I think they basicly used her in the show for shock value. I can see all the "normal people" in the world looking at automaticly thinking somethings gotta be wrong with her or her parents must not love her to let her do something like that…Personnaly besides the bitchy attitude of the character she played I thought she was kinda cute Anyways Peace!
