A good rig for metal

Question:

I play a lot of Slayer, Metallica, you know thrashy stuff, and I use a Peavey FireBass 750w. The cabs a 4 b’ 10 and has a great tone. I also have the use of an old Marshall rig 150w with 4 b’ 10 cab. It’s valves so it kinda growls at you!! The ultimate, I guess, would be Ampeg SVT, one 4 b’ 10 and a 15". very very good. Chris

Whatever the guitarist(s) is using power and speaker wise, double or triple it at least. Mutliple stacks (at least 2, 4 is better) of single 18" cabs with a 4×10 cabs on top with enough wattage to match the rated capacity of the speakers is a good starting point. Add a sub octave pedal as well. Do wear ear protection. Cheers, Toby Before you buy.
