Let’s bring on the rap-bashing! No, just kidding. The thing that strikes me as odd, to say the least, is that rap fans behave like they see in the videos and try to be ‘da gangsta’ themselves they are not judged by their music. (Ofcourse all the videos, rap or metal, are just fake, nothing is real. The makers say that in interviews and such) But everytime someone long-haired and/or wearing a hardrock or metal t-shirt is arrested, all the bystanders say .. yeah he’s one of them asocial hardrocker types. are allowed to have legions of fans and still go like comes along with Suicide Solution it is wrong all of a sudden. On your post BuZZard, never mind all the commercialism and stuff.. we all know that rock/metal is already living for a good 35 years.. the only other music that did that is classical music. I couldnt agree with you more. What sickens me about the rap generation is that the fans and the rap stars take themselves too seriously. These stupid fuckers actually think they are gangsters and go out and do stupid shit like shoot people and get locked up in prison….then get out and write about it in their songs. When did the world get so fucked up that we glorify criminals? At least the metalheads had a sense of humor about themselves and life in general. Sure, Ozzy bit off the heads of small animals and snorted insects but he didnt glorify the shit or expected his fans to emulate him. Despite all the Satanic overtones, Ozzy has always been a dedicated husband & father. Most rappers are nothin more than street punks who got lucky with an art form that doesnt require much talent, just a lot of cliche lyrics and imagery.
