Ozzy Review-Cincy.Ozzfest

Question:

> No "Wizard?"  No "Diary?"

No, but it was a good performance from Ozzy. Tim

Response:

Just so you know! Ozzy doesn’t sing at the ozzfests or at any concert that is some dude singing back stage FOR him. I hope I burst your happy bubble, cause Ozzy is not what he seems. He is a big fucking phoney, and a fraud. I saw Ozzy for the sabbath reunion concert and boy did it suck, it was the worst heavy metal concert I’ve ever been to. Ozzy is a disgrace to mankind he has a filthy mouth, and he cannot sing.   And For your information Ozzy is not "The Metal God" that title has already been taken by Rob Halford of Judas Priest who is a HELL of a lot more talented and more intelligent than Ozzy. Rob can actually sing :-) Thanks Got questions?  Get answers over the phone at Keen.com. Up to 100 minutes free! http://www.keen.com

More pathetic tounge wagging from the diodweebs.  It just eats them up inside their rotting souls that OZZY is known worldwide as the godfather of all that is great and dio is some washed up old has been.  This respose is probably a mistake.  Would not want to see this NG turn into the joke that the dio NG is.

Response:

You know something… all of you Dio die hards riddle your NG with posts about how ozzy fans come to your group and write hate posts about Dio just to piss you off. You then go into a big song and dance about how low the intelligence level of such a person must be. After all that hootin’ and hollerin’ you go to an Ozzy NG and do the same thing!! I am a long time Ozzy and Sabbath fan and have been going to Ozzy shows since the Diary tour, I will admit that Ozzy is certainly not what he was when I first saw him (and Randy) back in 1982. However, he has stood the test of time… his popularity seems to do nothing but grow, and continue to grow across several generations so he must be doing something right! I never was much of a Dio fan, I went to a few shows, and I do have a few of his early albums. I really only got interested because of the fact that he was in Sabbath for a short time, and while I feel that they made some good music together, I prefer the Ozzy era stuff.  What I would like to know is how can you question the intelligence of Ozzy fans in your NG and then come to this one and display the same behavior, and feel justified? In my observation, you are just asking for people like OZZICIDE and the others to come on over there and aggravate you some more. And I have to admit, they come up with some pretty funny stuff, that drowning in the cumbath story was just hilarious!! Rich P.S. You say Ozzy has a filthy mouth yet you choose the words "big fucking phoney" to describe him? – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> Just so you know! : What an incredible night.  Ozzy performed extremely well.  He looked really : good and jumped up and down like a hyperactive child throughout his 1 hr and 30 : min. set.  I’ve seem Ozzy numerous times since 1996.  I’ve seen nights when : things didn’t go so good with him and I’ve seen nights when he rocked the : fuckin’ place down.  Last night in Cincinnati was one of those nights when he : rocked the fuckin’ place down. : The anticipation to see Ozzy after Pantera’s set was killing me.  I was wired : to the bone.  When Ozzy’s intro-movie came on I started to get really pumped. : It’s definitely the best intro-movie he’s made since he’s started doing that : type of intro.  Then Ozzy’s intro-music came on and Ozzy came onto the stage : via a device lifting him up over the drumkit. Man, that’s an incredible feeling : to hear that intro knowing the heavy metal god is about to hit the stage. I : graduated with a bachelor’s degree in June that was very heartfelt for me. : Even that, didn’t even compare to how I felt as Ozzy began to take the stage. : Totally incredible. : Ozzy’s voice was remarkable.  Only a few squeaks.  He even hit those high notes : he usually has difficulty on in "I Don’t Wanna Change the World" and "No More : Tears". : You have to go see Ozzy at Ozzfest.  I’m going tomorrow in Indiana. Hopefully : I have another good review for you as this one. : The only thing that kinda went on forever is when he got up in the chair that : carried him over the stage and sprayed the crowd with his hy-powered super : sooker.  He could’ve squeezed in some of his regular songs like "Bark at the : Moon" and "Goodbye to Romance" that he did not play.  Overall though no : complaints.  Joe Holmes jammed during the "Suicide Solution" solo. Sounded : really cool jamming the "Symptom of the Universe" riff. : Awesome show. Go to Ozzfest! Ozzy rules. : Ozzy’s set list (not exactly in order) : I Don’t Know : Believer : War Pigs : Flying High Again : Mr. Crowley : Mama, I’m Coming Home (sounded really cool) : Suicide Solution (long solo, Ozzy spraying the crowd from above) : No More Tears : I Don’t Wanna Change the World : No More Tears : Crazy Train : Encore: : Paranoid

Cool review!! I had a dream recently of seeing a really amazing Ozzy show like this. But rather than viewing it from a fixed location of perspective, it was like I could see the show from all angles, like through a camera lens. Only, in the dream, not only did he play the harmonica on "The Wizard", but also some other similar instrument (which I did not readily identify) on "Spiral Architect", which was sung beautifully, incidentally!*Wizardess*In

I have to agree with the reveiwer, this show was an excellent one from the beginning to the end. This is probably my 11th time seeing Ozzy and this show was great!! I would like to add also that Riverbend Amphitheater is one of the best venues I have been to. I have been there twice now and they allow more stuff in than any other venue(backpacks, cameras & food and from what I could see lots of concealed whiskey bottles, lol). While security is good, they do not seem to hassle you over little stuff either, I will travel to Cincinnatti anytime for another show!!
