Yes, I can definately detect hints of Rhodes’ influence in the music that MTV plays now, like Snoop Dogg, Backstreet Boys, Mase, Bustah Rhymes, etc.. ;P J/K :) > ted

While Rhoads guitar style was certainly influential, I think you *are* overestimating his importance. Many bands would sound a litlle different, but with bands like Sabbath, Judas Priest, and other pre-80’s metal bands, metal and now alternative would still be around(remember that part of the MTV special where they played some alternative riffs that sounded exactly like Sab?) > ted

I definitly agree. I say we all swap their mailboxes with thank you’s and that we enjoyed seeing Sabbath on there. ~Katie My OZZY Page

MTV should definitely be commended for the excellent Sabbath Rocumentary! Since my beloved Headbangers’ Ball was taken away, I had been skeptical towards their coming through again for the hard rock fan community, but this gives me much hope! :) ~Suzanne *Take a trip to the OzzMania Zone* http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Lounge/6255/

I was thinking… we ought to write MTV complimentary e-mail about putting on a show about Sabbath, regardless of how short it was; let’s face it, MTV is like any other corporation. It wants to cater to the consumer. If we show them that we enjoyed the Sabbath show, and that if they put on more programs like that, we will watch them, it might help the metal-on-MTV movement.

Exactly, the best way to train a dog is to reward him for doing what you want. Not beat and yell at him for doing things wrong. Wasn’t it great to see those four sitting there talking!!!
