Hey, Been playing for only 3 1/2 years. (Almost everyday) Jam in a few garage bands. Feel comfortable enough now to get my own crew together (writing recording, gigging) Started out with a pick on an Ibanez SR405 (5 string) Started playing with fingers about 6 months ago (once hated now preferred) May purchase a Warwick-Thumb-5-NeckThrough. However, I find myself eye-ballin the MusicMan SRay 5. Holding me back are the 22 frets. Prefer the added frets. I do find myself creeping down the entire neck. Prefer Ampeg and Ernie Ball Strings I love jammin to R&B tunes because they can be really funky BUT the Band I hope to get together will be Modern Rock, if there is such a term. Grew up on: Sabbath, TheWho, Zep, Kiss and Ozzy. Music I like: Incubus, Creed, SOD, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Korn-You get the idea. I know most of the Group hates this crap (Newer Hard Rock Bands that is); see I used the word for you but I just can’t get it out of my system. Can’t say I have any Heroes or Role Models, just absorbing all kinds of music and styles of playing. Do find myself amazed at this cat, Ryknow of a Metal Band called Mudvayne. Most of this Group will throw-up upon hearing the singer but if you can stomach it for a while and listen to the Bass playing you’ll hear what I hear. Trust me, this cat slaps, pops, plucks, etc and runs the entire board while jumping around like a MANIAC.
