No, I mean Gospel as it is sung in the southern black tradition. I don’t have to believe in the content to enjoy the awesome music!

Ahh — you’re from Montreal?  Yes, I have "been" to the East end, when slumming.  It’s very tacky there, but I confess to having the best hot dog ever! Steamie – but I refuse to go as far as Poutine – horrible name. Squiggles

You forgot Bread.  ;)  (bubblegum, but cool in their own right).  I really have to agree with all the rest, and must add Wagner and Bach. I find that if I drive and listen to music, I tend to get speeding tickets that I can’t afford, so I don’t listen while driving. However, listening to ANYTHING at home helps me get the housework done.  :) Linda – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – >AC/DC rocks! Keith: Have you heard any Lisa Gerrard (formerly of Dead Can Dance, soundtrack for "The Insider")? She’s doing some beautiful Arab-influenced music… I can rip a couple .mp3s off if you like. And all this summer, the only song I wanted to hear was AC/DC’s "You Shook Me All Night Long". Jim — http://heimarmene.homestead.com/index.html Before you buy.

Sounds interesting…I just found her on Napster and am downloading some tunes from that album. The problem with Napster is that I am just overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the music available…I don’t know who to search for! This cable modem still blows me away…my download times are less than the play times now…instead of hours…just listened to "Rites", now "Dawn of the Truth" now "Faith" – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text ->>Arabic melodies >Keith: >Have you heard any Lisa Gerrard (formerly of Dead Can Dance, soundtrack >for "The Insider")? >She’s doing some beautiful Arab-influenced music… I can rip a >couple .mp3s off if you like. >And all this summer, the only song I wanted to hear was AC/DC’s "You >Shook Me All Night Long". >Jim

"When I have enough midi files I’m going to install ‘Midinotate’ free for 7 days and turn it all into sheet music. Johnny Cash is one of the very few country singers I like." Ralph, Take a quick look at http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/NOTATION/ for some other notation proggies. There might be some freebies there.Or I could run ‘em up in Cubase for you (I think I have the notation module uninstalled, but could install it.) Check out the rest of SMM as well… I’ve picked up some dynamite freeware and shareware from them. Jim — http://heimarmene.homestead.com/index.html Before you buy.

Actually it’s pretty good. The problem is it’s kind of like getting really drunk and sleeping with your ex. You don’t feel so good when you sobber up.
