Question:
Some info about my friend Joe Holmes……. 1. He’s 30 years old and from L.A. 2. Former bands have included 80’s shock rock band LIZZY BORDEN, David Lee Roth’s band, Terriff, and Dogma, the last 2 being local L.A. bands! 3. He’s classically trained. At the age of 15 his teacher was a guitarist named Randy Rhoads. 4. Yes….he is good…VERY GOOD!…. 5. He’s a shy person, though lately he has been getting used to the huge arena’s and is getting more comfortable in his playing. The last few shows I’ve seen at the end of February, he has been a little more flashy, and less introverted. 6. He uses no pedals,….always stays plugged in, never cordless, ….uses only his faithful 1972 strat, and changes to other 72 strats only for tunings. 7. Musical influences and favorites include Alice In Chains, Rage Against The Machine, Black Sabbath, Nine Inch Nails. Any other questions?? Wasp94

Lee songs etc. So, I go to Ozzy’s Feb. 6 concert at the Palace >of Auburn Hills (Detroit) and this guy Joey Holmes was the >guitarist. > Now the questions: >#1 – Who is this guy ? >#2 – Where did he come from ? (band, city, etc.) >#3- Is he really any good, or is he just some unknown > shredder ? >#4- How did he hook up with Ozzy ? >#5- Is he really as weird as he seemed ? I mean, he did > most of his guitar solo crouched down in a corner > facing away from the audience. You expect that > kind of weirdness from Nine Inch Nails or something, > but not Ozzy. > Any info would be appreciated. > Dan > _ > / 7 > /_( > |_| > |_| > |_| > |_| / > /|=|/ / > |_| / > ) _ > / |_| > / -=-o / > /~_/ > / >–
