Same Old Song and Dance

Question:

You know, Junior, I’m inclined to agree.  ;-) –Maaaaaaaaaaaaaack

Response:

You are a lucky guys, think about me for example a i’m a OZZY fan since 1980 i was only 13 years and heard Blizzard for the first time and one year later i knew Black Sabbath, and OZZY storie, i have all records from him and BS, every week at least i hear records from him or BS, but because i’m leaving in a stupid country that don’t make any promotion to OZZY or BS records, they never came to PORTUGAL. So i never see them in live show only in some videos (it’s not the same). You are a very luky guys that have the oppurtunity to seethem alive every years.

I’ve seen Ozzy a dozen times, I love the man so this is not a sneer at him at all. But when in the hell is he going to change his setlists?? The last 4 times I’ve seen him he’s done practically the same dam songs. In no particular order: Paranoid- done at every show Iron Man- done at every show C.O.G- done at every show War Pigs- done at least 8 shows Crazy Train- done at every show I Don’t Know- done at every show Mr.Crowley- done at every show Goodbye To Romance- done at every show Suicide Solution- done at every show Flying High Again- done at every show And for the past 4 shows: No More Tears I Don’t Want To Change The World Bark At The Moon I Just Want You Desire Mama I’m coming Home The Black Sabbath RIFF Jam Hey, come on now!! The man has a hell of alot more songs than this to chose from. I just wish he would start mixing things up a bit. How about Over The Mt., You Can’t Kill R+R, No Bone Movies, Tommorow, Thunder Underground, Little Dolls, Believer, Killer Of Giants, Your No Different To Me, Diary Of A Madman, etc.etc. I can’t remember a time when somebody puts out an album and only plays one song off of it live. I’ve seen 4 Ozzmosis concerts and only once did he do more than I Just Want You, he played Perry Mason also. I’m sorry to say, but Ozzy concerts are becoming quite predictable. Ozzy’s great works consist more than just the Blizzard + No More Tears albums, and a few Black Sabbath standards.—jr.

Would’nt mind seeing Ozzy perform Shot in the Dark live again and Thunder Underground would be great. Ozzy and Zakk did a great job on that song so live wouldn’t be too hard. Ozzy did play Road to Nowhere in Australia. So he is changing it a little. So when Ozzy comes to America he will probably sing a couple songs he hasn’t sang for awhile. But who cares, just want to see him. Fredt

As far as the Ozzmosis stuff goes, I think he really dropped the ball. Songs like Thunder Underground, S.Y.O.T.O.S and Tomorrow were begging to be played live. Response:

I agree with you, but I think the main reason Ozzy doesn’t perform those songs, is because he can’t hit the notes like he used to. He’s able to in the studio, because he does it over & over. But on stage he’s got one chance to get that note right. I mean, it took him 85 tries to get See You On The Other Side just right. So, I’m just trying to look at it from the other point of view. But I did put together a voting booth called "What Song Would You Want Ozzy To Sing The He Never Does?" awhile ago. Right now "You can’t kill rock ‘n roll" is winning. Or how about a couple of covers? Like he did with Purple Haze? Scott

Same here. I agree with you I love the man to death but the shows are gettting boring. Maybe a little "You looking at me,looking at you" or "You said it all" would pick things up. A new stage show that picked up where Diary and Bark at the moon left off would be great also. Randy
