Question:
That would be interesting. Don’t forget that Sabbath is composed of some great players…I am sure they would do well and inevitably leave their own stamp on it. A lot of people underrate Iommi, but he is a great player. He did not use tons of reverb and delay like Rhoads and the others, but he could handle it I am quite sure. And the rhythm section on the Ozzy stuff was usually less complex (less grooving bass lines, drum fills, etc…) than early Sabbath… Damn…now I gotta put on "Sabotage"…. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > Organization: Prodigy Internet http://www.prodigy.com > Newsgroups: alt.music.ozzy > We have all heard countless renditions of material from Ozzy’s solo career. > Phenomenal axe men, with a mixed bag of others supporting members have done > a great job, culminated with the excellent lastest tour. > Has anyone also wondered what Ozzy’s solo stuff would sound like with Geezer > on bass, Ward on drums, and Iommi on lead? We have all heard countless renditions of material from Ozzy’s solo career. Phenomenal axe men, with a mixed bag of others supporting members have done a great job, culminated with the excellent lastest tour. Has anyone also wondered what Ozzy’s solo stuff would sound like with Geezer on bass, Ward on drums, and Iommi on lead? Ozzy’s various lineups have done homage to the origianl BS group, but maybe it is time that BS does homage to Ozzy’s solo career. Are they flexible enough to do as good a job as the various collection of musicians who have been part of Ozzy’s solo career?

Although, Randy Castillo is a much more powerful of a drummer than Ward, so it would be interesting to hear.
