Jarl has been spamming & crossposting all over usenet for years & he’s ruined many a newsgroup.

No. You can’t get him banned. In most of the civilized world, ISPs are unwieldy, corporate bureaucracies, and they don’t share info with one another very well. He can change ISPs as quickly as changing underwear… not that he does things like that. So don’t be upset by Jarl. Get even! :) Submit a tune to the Jarl tribute CD that is in progress. It’ll cost you $10 and a tune, and all the net revenue from the project will go to Second Harvest. Isn’t it TIME that Usenet made money from Jarl?!? And put it to good use? Oh, irony. — Oren Zero, author of the first Jarl Sigurd Tribute Tune, www.artistcollaboration.com/users/orenzero/xleggedcat.mp3

You *might* be able to get him booted, but why the hell would anyone want to get rid of someone that makes the rest of us look good? There’s also a huge amount of effort involved, and he does seem to be up in Canada to compound your efforts. Jarl is only a problem if you think he is. And if people go around thinking he’s a problem, then that means that Jarl wins. Is that what everyone wants? Jarl knows what he’s doing, and it has nothing to do with music at all. Really bad music is nothing but part of a tool he uses. And he doesn’t need a high speed connection to do it either. People should just relax and just ignore him if they don’t like him. If you really dislike him, then killfile him and the threads he starts. Fact is the guy’s playing everyone like a fiddle right now, and everyone’s letting him do it. IGNORE HIM. Nobody really wants to live in a world where it’s easy for someone else to get you booted off the air anyhow. Pete

He then slowly started to spam again. If a lot of people compalin to his isp, he WILL get kicked off for good as what he is doing is a direct violation of his isps antu spamming rules.

Rob, considering that you are the number 1 suspect for these forgeries using my Jarl Sigurd screen name, don’t you think you are being a little too OBVIOUS by urging people to complain to javamusic about me. Aside from Michael Collins, most people that read the usenet are not stupid enough to be taken in by so simplistic a strategy. You should try being a little more subtle when you try nonsense like this. Jarl Sigurd to listen to a guitarist whom Rob is more jealous of than Yngwie, visit: http://www.javamusic.com/JarlSigurd

Michael Collins, you really are much more qualified to be a Netkook than a Netcop. First off you are naive enough to believe a notorious liar and usenet kook like Rob from alt.music.yngwie Then you repeat his slanderous accusations against me and think my ISP will act when I defend myself by attacking your highly suspect credibility. Give it up, Micheal. By siding with a NETKOOK like Rob you’ve undermined your own credibility to the point where no one will take your complaints seriously. Why don’t you post something guitar related instead. You do actually play guitar don’t you? Why don’t you record some mp3’s of your playing and post them so we can hear what you really sound like. While you’re at it, why don’t you complain to Google and Yahoo Maybe then you’ll stand a chance of getting some action taken in response to your complaints! Jarl Sigurd to listen to a guitarist Rob is more envious of than Yngwie, visit: http://www.javamusic.com/JarlSigurd

Reminds me of an old cartoon where the guy is on the couch at his therapist saying, "If you weren’t such a f***ing stupid ***hole you’d tell me why I don’t have any friends!". JS covers himself in fishhooks and rotting meat and says "comere and give me a hug!". Nein danke.

True, but certainly no more interesting than you not denying that you’re the real Jarl, don’t you think? Question is, is Rob Sigurd as irritating to Jarl Sigurd as Jarl Sigurd is to some other people? Pete
