Can anyone think of some artists/bands that have a great tone or sound but put out less than great music? — Regular naps prevent old age….. especially if you take them while driving. Jeremy

any garage band mixing two weeks experience and a Gibson Les Paul/Marshall half-stack. on the inverse, I can think of a few bands with good music but horrible tone.

Restricting the field to professional bands, I would have recount a recent concert where Billy Squier appeared. They rolled out several vintage Gibsons, had great tone, but absolutely sucked. What a waste of good gear and tone.

I gotta agree. Some people like them, but I never saw the appeal of that band. And one year for Christmas, I got the same damn Kiss Lp from both of my brothers, and I hated Kiss.
